๐ŸŒฟ Alkaline Vegan Quinoa Porridge with Berries & Seeds

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa (quinoa is alkaline-forming and high in protein)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or homemade hemp or coconut milk โ€“ alkaline options)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds or hemp seeds
  • 1/2 banana, sliced (optional โ€“ mildly acidic but acceptable for most alkaline plans)
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries (like blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries โ€“ alkaline-forming)
  • Drizzle of pure maple syrup or date syrup (optional and minimal)
  • Pinch of sea salt or Himalayan salt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Warm the milk: In a small pot, heat almond milk over medium heat.
  2. Add quinoa & cinnamon: Stir in cooked quinoa and cinnamon. Let simmer for 5โ€“7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Mix in seeds: Stir in chia or flaxseeds and allow to thicken for another 2 minutes.
  4. Serve: Pour into a bowl, top with berries, seeds, banana (if using), and a drizzle of maple syrup.
  5. Optional boost: Add a sprinkle of alkaline greens powder or a few chopped almonds.

  • Avoid wheat, oats, and processed sugars.
  • Use alkaline water for cooking if possible.
  • Quinoa, amaranth, and wild rice are great alkaline grain substitutes.
